Is lynching of Muslim man in BJP-ruled Jharkhand NDA 2.0's New India, asks Mehbooba Mufti

Srinagar, Jun 24 (UNI) Reacting to reports that a Muslim man was lynched to death in Jharkhand, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba asked if this is NDA 2.0’s New India.

''Tabrez Ansari was lynched to death in BJP ruled Jharkhand. A Hindu mob thrashed him ruthlessly because he refused to chant Jai Sri Ram. Is this NDA 2.0’s New India? Yeh kaunsa tareeka hai sabka vishwas jeetnay ka?,''

Mehbooba, who is Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president, wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.

The victim, identified as Tabrez Ansari, died after being lynched by a mob in BJP-ruled Jharkhand. Meanwhile, videos of Tabrez being lynched by a mob and forced to chant 'Jai Shri Ram' and ' Jai Hamuman' have gone viral on social media.
