Amethi, May 7 (IBNS): Amethi District Magistrate-cum-Returning Officer Jagat Raj Tripathi on Wednesday asked Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi's Public Relations Officer (PRO) Priti Sahay to leave Amethi in Uttar Pradesh after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from the Lok Sabha constituency, Smriti Irani, objected to her visit to a polling booth.
Posting a photo on micro-blogging site Twitter, Irani tweeted: "Smt Vadra's secretary Priti Sahay at Thouri not a local still vocal in opposing my presence at the booth."

"Smt Vadra's secretary tells ABP news reporter Vikas Bhadauria not to film her presence," she posted.

In Amethi, the voter turnout was 37 percent till 1 pm.

Pertinently, it is one of the most watched seats in this election where the contest is among Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)'s Kumar Vishwas and BJP's Smriti Irani.

Rahul's sister Priyanka was his campaign in-charge in Amethi.
