Investigations about Kashmiri student continues in Moradabad

Moradabad, Feb 17 (UNI) Intelligence agencies were investigating the relations of Kashmiri students, accused of sedition charges, with terrorists here.

Police sources here on Sunday said that Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist squad (ATS) has contacted local police for the investigations of Rafi Farooq, resident of Anantnag district of Jammu Kashmir. Mobile details of Rafi and his relatives and other information related to him were being gathered by the agencies.

Sources said that police and the agencies were also looking into connection of Rafi with another accused student Mujjasam Gani. ATS interrogated Gani till late Saturday night. After Gani was arrested hundreds of his supporters gathered in front of Civil Line police station following which he was transferred to other police station.

Accused students had hailed Pakistan after Pulwama terrorist attack on CRPF jawans and they had posted anti national statements on social media platform which erupted ruckus in MIT institute.
