India records 38,949 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours, 542 deaths

New Delhi: India recorded  38,949 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours and 542 deaths, as per the Ministry of Health released data on Friday.

3,01,83,876 total recoveries have been recorded from across the country so far.

Recovery Rate has now increased to 97.28 percent.

40,026 patients recovered during the last 24 hours.

India's Active Caseload currently stands at 4,30,422.

Active cases constitute 1.39 percent of total cases.

Weekly Positivity Rate remains below 5 percent, currently at 2.14 percent.

Daily positivity rate at 1.99 percent, less than 3 percent for 25 consecutive days.
