India conducts successful test fire of Quick reaction Surface to Air missile (QRSAM) from ITR

Balasore, Aug 4 (UNI) The Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missile (QRSAM) having a striking range of 30 km was today successfully test fired from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur on sea, about 15 kms from here.


Developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), the missile which has a capability of engaging multiple targets, was test fired from the launch complex 3 of the ITR at about 1105 hours.

The all-weather and all-terrain missile, could be mounted on a truck and stored in a canister and is equipped with electronic counter measures against jamming by aircraft radars.

The last trial of the missile was carried out at the ITR on February 26, 2019.
