New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday said India and Bangladesh will soon hold a Joint Consultative Commission.

Jaishankar said he had a 'warm conversation' with his Bangladeshi counterpart A.K. Abdul Momen.

"Warm conversation with FM Dr. A.K. Abdul Momen of Bangladesh. Agreed to hold our Joint Consultative Commission very soon. Will continue to work closely to reach the ambitious goals set by our leaders," the Indian Minister tweeted.

Meanwhile, showcasing the strong bond shared between the two neighbours, the Bangladesh Parliament has unanimously adopted a condolence motion on former Indian President Pranab Mukherjee.

"#Bangladesh @jatiyoshangsad unanimously adopted a Condolence Motion on demise of Late Sh. Pranab Mukherjee, adding, 'The people of Bangladesh will always remember this great eternal leader as a genuine well-wisher of the people of India and Bangladesh and a true patriot'." read a tweet posted by the Indian High Commission in Bangladesh.

Pranab Mukherjee died last week.
