IM terrorists brought to Kerala
"They were brought to Cochin in a special aircraft and from there to Munanr in Idukki district in separate helicopters," reported CNN-IBN.
The Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested Akhtar, who is the India commander of terrorist outfit Indian Mujahideen (IM), on Mar 25.
According to the police, Akhtar was heading the outfit post the arrest of IM founder Yasin Bhatkal.
He was interrogated by a joint team of Delhi Police Special Cell and central intelligence agencies.
This came after four IM terrorists were arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police from two locations in Rajasthan on Mar 22 evening.
The arrested terrorists were identified as Waqas, Mahroof, Mehraj and Saquib.
"One of them, Waqas, is alleged to be the chief bomb-maker of the banned outfit and a close aide of its jailed co-founder Yasin Bhatkal," NDTV channel reported.
Waqas, a Pakistani national, is one of the most wanted men in connection with several blasts in the country, including the serial blasts in Mumbai in July 2011 that killed 27 persons and injured over 130.
