I will do my best to fulfill responsibility given to me: Congress leader Sheila Dikshit

New Delhi, Apr 22 (UNI) Former Chief Minister and Congress candidate from North East Delhi Sheila Dikshit on Monday said she will do her best to fulfill the responsibility given to her.

Talking to mediapersons, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Ms Dikshit said,'I'll do my best to fulfill the responsibility given to me. I've contested from here earlier, I know the people here and they know me. We had started Metro from here, our reputation is of working for the people.'

Congress on Monday named six candidates for Lok Sabha Elections 2019 in Delhi, signaling that a tie-up with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is no longer on the table.

Sheila Dikshit,the three-time Delhi Chief Minister will to contest from North East Delhi.

Former Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken will contest from New Delhi Lok Sabha seat while former DPCC chief Arvinder Singh Lovely will contest from East Delhi and Mahabal Misra has been fielded from his traditional west Delhi Lok Sabha seat.From the North west Delhi -SC seat, the party has fielded Rajesh Lilothia.

The Congress has till now released candidates for 419 Lok Sabha seats.
