Huge quantity of Nepalese liquor seized, one person arrested

Darbhanga, Aug 23 (UNI) Police today seized 235 bottles of Nepalese liquor from an auto-rickshaw and arrested a smuggler in this connection from Town police station area in Darbhanga district.

Police said here that acting on a tip off, an auto-rickshaw was intercepted and 235 bottles of Nepalese liquor was recovered during its checking.

A youth travelling in auto-rickshaw was arrested soon after recovery of liquor from the vehicle, police further said adding that he was being interrogated in this connection.

"Each bottle contains 300 ml of Nepalese liquor", police stated and added that raids were being carried out to nab others involved in the illegal activities, on the basis of leads gathered during the interrogation of arrested youth.
