Huge gold haul at Vishakhapatnam airport
Vishakhapatnam, June 22 (IBNS) In biggest ever catch officials of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence on Monday busted a major smuggling operation and seized 63 kg gold at Vishakhapatnam International Airport, reports said.
The gold was being smuggled from Singapore and Malayasia in three international flights.
Assisted by the customs department, the officials are questioning over 50 people in connection with the smuggling racket.

On specific information, the authorities of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence along with the local Customs officials intercepted the passengers who were waiting to collect their luggage upon their arrival at the airport.
Majority of the 50 passengers are stated to be Tamilians.
