HP: Bus falls into river, 18 killed

Shimla, Aug 21 (IBNS) At least 18 people were killed as a private bus fell into Baspa river into Himachal Pradesh 's Kinnaur district on Thursday, reports said.

According to reports, 26 others were injured in the mishap.

The injured people were taken to hospital.

The bus was on its way from Sangla valley to Rekong Peo when the mishap occurred.

The bus was reportedly carrying 43 passengers.

Deputy Commissioner, Kinnaur, D.D. Sharma told The Hindu the cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
