Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said on Sunday that he has ordered tightening of security in and around Tapovan Vidhan Sabha Assembly Complex at Dharamshala in Kangra district, after Khalistan flags were found on the entry gate of the Complex.

Thakur told mediapersons at Dharmshala that his government would review the security along the borders with various states.

The Chief Minister, who also holds the portfolio of Home, condemned the incident and stated that breach in security would be probed by SIT and an FIR has been lodged in this connection.

Urging people to maintain peace, he said action would be taken against the perpetrators, who would be nabbed soon.

Thakur accepted that the culprits raised Pro-Khalistan flags and indulged in wall writing, when police was deployed inside the Assembly campus.

"It is being said that the incident took place at night. Police are deployed in the interior of Vidhan Sabha campus since it is very large. So, the poster was put up on the wall and the main gate of the Assembly. The CCTV footage is being probed to get a clue about the culprits," the Chief Minister said.

The Pro-Khalistan flags were found tied on the main gate and boundary wall of the Tapovan Assembly Complex Dharamshala on Sunday morning.

Soon after, it was found a police official informed that the flags were removed from the gates and walls.

Police chief, Kangra, Khushal Sharma informed that it happened late night or early Sunday morning, when deployment of forces was confined to inside the campus. Police have removed Pro-Khalistan flags from the Vidhan Sabha gate.
