Hemant Soren stakes claim to form new govt in Jharkhand, to take oath on Dec 29

Ranchi/UNI: Leader of the legislature wing of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Hemant Soren met Governor Drauapdi Murmu at the Raj Bhawan here on Tuesday evening and staked his claim to form the new government in Jharkhand.

Soren will take oath as the 11th Chief Minister of the state in a mega function to be organised at the historic Morhabadi Grounds of the state capital on Dec 29 at 1 PM.

Hemant gave a letter of support of 50 MLAs to the governor.

The JMM-Congress alliance won majority seats in the state.

Jharkhand voted in five phases in the Assembly polls.
