Guyana President arrives India Wednesday on six-day visit

New Delhi, Jan 6 (IBNS) President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana . Donald Rabindranauth Ramotar will arrive the capital on Wednesday on a six-day visit to the country from January 7 to 12.

 He will be the Chief Guest at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas being held in Gandhinagar, Gujrat , to be held on January 8 and 9, a PIB release said on Tuesday.

Relations between India and Guyana have roots in the history with a large Indian being present in the African country creating a close cultural affinity.

While in India the visiting dignitary will meet   Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, besides other senior leaders.
