New Delhi/UNI: Border Security Force (BSF) on Sunday said they have nabbed a Pakistani fisherman, along with his boat, near the Sir Creek area adjoining Kutch district of Gujarat.

BSF, in an official statement here, said that around 1750 hours on Saturday, while patrolling in general area of Sir creek, they observed one Pakistani fishing boat which had intruded into Indian territory taking advantage of rough sea state and restricted visibility.

It further said that the alert patrolling team of the 108 battalion then seized the boat along with the lone Pakistani fisherman named Khalid Hussain, a resident of Shahbandar in Sindh in Pakistan.

The patrolling team recovered items like 120 liters diesel of Jericane, one mobile phone two fishing nets, eight bundles plastic threads and some crab fish.

"A through search operation of the area has been launched and the search operation is still underway. Till now nothing suspicious has been recovered from the area, from the Pak fishing boat and from Pak fisherman," the statement added.
