Guwahati, Aug 11 (IBNS): Reacting to the Congress Working Committee decision to appoint Sonia Gandhi as an interim president of the party, Assam Finance minister and Convenor of the BJP-led North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday said the Gandhi family want to retain control in the Congress party as a 'Private Limited Company'.

“Everything which was enacted by Rahul Gandhi it was a big drama. Gandhi family don’t want to part with the power in the Congress party. They want to retain control in the Congress party as Private Limited Company. I am sure they will come when they will be no stakeholders, no shareholders, only Gandhi will remain in the Congress party,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

He further said that people are fed up with the Congress.

“We are getting everyday request after request that people want to join BJP. Sooner or later, Congress will be a party only with Gandhi without any worker, without any office bearer,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
