From LAC to LoC, soldiers gave fitting reply to those who challenged India's sovereignty: Narendra Modi

New Delhi: Amid COVID-19 pandemic spread, Indian PM Narendra Modi on Saturday joined the Independence Day celebration by unfurling the Tricolour at the Red Fort and gave a strong response to neighbours when he said those who challenged India's sovereignty, be it at 'LOC or LAC', have been given a befitting reply by the soldiers.

Modi was referring to the recent standoff at the Galwan Valley between soldiers of India and China.

"Those who have tried to challenge the country's sovereignty, whether it is on the LAC or LOC, Indian soldiers have given them a befitting reply in the language they know," Modi said.

Speaking on the first anniversary of the scrapping of Article 370 of Jammu and Kashmir, Modi said the region has witnessed a new developmental journey in the past one year.

He said scientists are working hard on finding a vaccine to treat COVID-19.

COVID-19 Vaccines:

" Three Indian vaccines are in different testing stages," the Indian PM said.

He said India is ready to produce the vaccines in large numbers once the scientists give the 'green signal'.

Digital Health Mission:

Announcing another major step, Modi said: " Today, we are launching the National Digital Health Mission. This will bring a new revolution in the health sector."

Modi said it is going to be completely technology-based.
