Four killed, one injured in car-truck collision in Uttar Pradesh

Jaunpur, Aug 24 (UNI) Four people were killed and one another sustained a critical injury in a car-truck collision in the Mungrabadshahpur area of this Uttar Pradesh district on Saturday.

Police said the accident took place in the afternoon when the tyre of a truck bursted leading to the driver losing control at the wheels. The truck then rammed into an oncoming car near the Sanjay 'chauraha' at the Sujanganj road near Dharampur village.

Three occupants of the car were killed on the spot and two others critically injured. One among the injured succumbed to his injuries while on the way to the hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Biloi village resident Sufiyan (22), Ghiyasuddin (20), Salman (22) and Ejaz Ahmed (27). Critically injured Azharuddin (23) has been referred to the district hospital for treatment.
