Former JD (U) MLA Neeta Chaudhary and her legislator husband injured in fire incident

Munger, May 28 (UNI) Former JD (U) MLA from Munger Neeta Chaudhary and her husband and MLA Mewalal Chaudhary sustained burn injuries when fire broke out at their residence at Tarapur Bazar under Tarapur police station area in the district late last night.

Police said here today that fire broke out as soon as Chaudhary tried to light gas stove in the kitchen.

Sources said Chaudhary along with her husband had gone to attend a dinner party at Madhodih and after they returned home, she found LPG leaking from her gas stove. Sources said Ms Chaudhary rushed to her kitchen and switched off the pressure regulator before attempting to light her gas stove.

Police said Ms Chaudhary suffered serious burn injuries and her husband sustained minor burn injuries in his attempt to save her.

Both husband and wife had been rushed to Patna Medical College and Hospital after their preliminary treatment at Munger Sadar Hospital.
