Srinagar, June 1 (IBNS): At least five youths, who had joined terrorism, have returned to the families in Kashmir, media reports said.

"The five youths shunned the path of violence and returned to the mainstream due to the efforts of their families and police," the police was quoted as saying by The Hindu.

The identities of the youth have not been revealed.

Incidentally, the move has been made at a time when PM Narendra Modi-led BJP government came to power at the Centre for the second consecutive term by winning the Lok Sabha polls.

Modi took oath as the PM on Thursday.

This is his second consecutive term as the PM.
