Five killed in Kashmir road mishap

Srinagar, Jan 12 (IBNS) Five people were killed while four others injured when a taxi collided with a Sumo in north Kashmir's Sopore town, 55 km from here.

Officials told IBNS that early in the morning a Sumo  collided with a Mahindra SUV near Ranji area on Srinagar Muzaffarabad national highway.

Officials said five persons died on the spot while four others seriously injured were shifted to hospital.

"Among those killed are two women Naza Begum and Sara," the official said, adding, "Mohammad Shafi Malik and Dilshad Ahmad Pir," also died in the accident.

All killed were from Kupwara.
