Jammu/UNI:  A major fire broke out late on Tuesday evening in microbiology laboratory of Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh Hospital here.

Police here said that the fire incident took place due to short circuit in the microbiology Laboratory of the hospital situated at Shalimar.

They said that fire fighters with two fire tenders were immediately pressed into service and the fire was controlled.
