"Issuing notices calling for reports from the Chief Secretary, Government of Tamil Nadu, Secretaries of Medical Council of India and Tamil Nadu State Medical Council, Mr. Justice D. Murugesan, Member, NHRC has observed that the contents of the press report, if true, raise a serious issue of violation of human rights of the people of Tamil Nadu," it said.

" They have also been directed to submit a report on the action taken to prosecute the quacks. They have been given two weeks time to respond," read the statement.
