Explosion outside Pune police station injures 3

Pune, July 10 (IBNS): At least three people were injured in a minor explosion that occurred outside the Faraskhana Police Station in central Pune on Thursday.
Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad was called in to inspect the low-intensity blast.
 
According to police, the explosive was placed in the luggage carrier of a motorcycle.
 
The two-wheeler was parked in the parking compound of the Faraskhana Police Station. 
 
The police are yet to trace the owner of the motorcycle.
 
A team of forensic experts was also rushed to the spot, who collected evidences to examine the damaged vehicle.
 
"The forensic team will examine the spot and the contents of the parcel compartment of the bike thoroughly to ascertain the facts. No other vehicles were damaged. A man standing nearby received minor scratches," a senior police official was quoted as saying by DNA.
