New Delhi, Apr 20 (IBNS): In a season when the country is voting in the Lok Sabha polls, the Election Commission of India on Saturday sent notice to the producers of the webseries created on the life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The web series has been titled 'Modi-Journey of a Common Man'.

The Commission directed the producers of the webseries to stop forthwith the online streaming and remove all connected content of the series till further orders.

The Election Commission of India earlier this month banned display of biopics on political leaders that could alter the level-playing field during the elections and hence it prevented makers of biopic on PM Narendra Modi from releasing the movie based on the life of the leader.

Actor Vivek Oberoi played the lead role in the movie.
