| @indiablooms | Apr 22, 2019, at 07:51 pm

Shimla, Apr 22 (UNI): Election Commission of India today issued warning to BJP state president Satpal Singh Satti and asked him to refrain from criticising the private life of leaders and workers of other political parties.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer Daleep Negi confirmed that warning has been issued by the District Election Officer or Deputy Commissioner Una to Mr. Satti today.

The ECI's move comes after it found Satti guilty of violating the MCC at Una district on April 14, in which Mr. Sati also made derogatory remarks against Congress president Rahul Gandhi and the party's general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

This action has been taken by ECI against Mr Satti on a complaint of Model Code and Conduct violation by him as he was served notice on Apr 19.

ECI also found him guilty in the second notice served to him on Apr 19 , while passing derogatory remarks against the AICC president on April 14 at Bhajnial village in Una district during another public meeting under Hamirpur parliamentary constituency.

The two notices were served by ECI on Apr 16 and April 19 on the complaint of Congress party and suo moto action on the basis of ECI surveillance video footage during different public meeting addressed by Mr Satti at Una by the DEO Solan and ARO Gagret respectively.

Passing earlier order on Apr 19, ECI have been gagged him from election canvassing for 48 hrs from Apr 20 to 21 after finding him in violation of election code on the basis of first complaint lodged by the Congress party.
