DMK wins Vellore Lok Sabha seat

Chennai, Aug 9 (UNI) The Opposition DMK candidate D K Kathir Anand was declared elected from Vellore Lok Sabha Constituency, defeating his nearest ruling AIADMK-led Front candidate A C Shanmugam of NJP by a margin of 8,141 votes.

Kathir Anand polled 4,85,340 votes, while Shanmugam polled 4,77,199 votes.

DMK wrests seat from AIADMK.
