Delhi metro train runs with doors open

| | Jul 17, 2014, at 07:09 pm
New Delhi, July 17 (IBNS) There was a scare inside the Delhi Metro coaches Thursday morning when a Yellow Line train left a station with doors open on the left side for nearly two minutes, said reports.

The incident occurred between Arjangarh and Ghitorni stations.

The doors only closed when the train reached next station.

Passengers said they tried to alert the driver but he did not pay heed.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said: "Around 9:40 am today, the left side doors of a train moving from Arjangarh to Ghitorni on Line-2 (HUDA City Centre to Jahangirpuri) were found to be open.

"Prima facie, it is an error by the train operator and he has been suspended with immediate effect. The matter is being investigated." .
