Delhi experiences searing heat

New Delhi/UNI: Delhiites experienced a very hot day on Saturday, as the maximum temperature settled at 43.9 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 28.7 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal, while the relative humidity recorded at 0830 hrs was 34 per cent, it said.

Scorching heat was experienced at a few places in the national capital. There was no possibility of any rain, as the sky remained clear.

On Friday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 42.9 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.
