Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal visits Singhu Border, urges Centre to repeal farm laws

New Delhi/UNI: As the farmers' protest against the Centre's three new farm laws at Delhi's periphery entered the 32nd day on Sunday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal appealed to the Union Government to repeal the new farm laws as soon as possible.

Kejriwal on Sunday visited the Singhu border (Delhi-Haryana border), for the second time this month.

Accompanied by Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, he joined the 'Safar-e-Shahadat' Kirtan Darbaar, organised by the Punjabi Academy of the Delhi government at Guru Tegh Bahadur Memorial, in the memory of the martyrdom of four Sahibzaade and Mata Gujri Kaur Ji.

Addressing the protesting farmers, Kejriwal said, "I have watched all the videos of the leaders of the farmers' unions, they know the entire Constitution, they know all the laws, and I am sure that the extent to which they know these laws, even these Ministers do not know."

"A public debate between any of the Centre's Minister, who is an expert on these laws and the farmer leaders, will clear everything. The whole nation will get to know how dangerous these farm laws are," he added.

Kejriwal said, "From this revered space, I want to appeal to the Central government to not let any more farmers sacrifice their lives. This is a fight for their survival. The Central government should repeal these farm laws as soon as possible, guarantee MSPs in the law, and end the struggle of the farmers."
