New Delhi, Feb 8 (UNI) An estimated voter turnout of 6.43 per cent was recorded till 1100 hrs in Delhi Assembly elections on Saturday as balloting continued with a fight between the ruling AAP and the BJP with Congress playing a third fiddle.

The voter turnout, according to some experts, is being considered very important in these elections as it can change poll prospects of any candidate.

Polling will end at 1800 hrs and the results will be announced on February 11.

After a heated-up campaign for weeks, Delhi, the national capital of the country, is voting to elect its new government.

While Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is seeking a third term, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which had fielded a battery of saffron leaders to campaign along with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is trying to unseat the ruling party.

Amid the fight between the AAP and BJP, Congress is trying to stay relevant in Delhi which was once a stronghold of the grand old party. The results will be declared on Feb 11.
