Dacoits loot cash and valuables worth Rs 9 lakh in Ranchi

Ranchi, Aug 1 (UNI): Five armed dacoits looted cash and valuables worth about Rs 9 lakh from a house located at Mali Tola under Gonda Police Station area of the state capital.

Police on Thursday said that late last night the group of five armed dacoits forcibly got inside the house of medical trader Manish Kumar and on gunpoint took the family members hostage.

They looted cash and valuables and fled from the spot after which the family informed the police.

Police said that the complainant has said that the dacoits decamped with Rs 4 lakh in cash and jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh.

After committing the heist they locked all the family members inside a room and easily fled from the spot.
