Mysuru, June 1(UNI) Vishvesha Theertha Swimiji of Pejavar Mutt today reittrated that the cow slaughter should be banned in the country.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, he said equality among all religious should be prevail in the country. Muslims have more facilities in the country when compared to Hindus. Every one and all religion should be treated equally and urged the Central government to take necessary steps in this direction.

He also emphasized that building of Ram Mandir should be taken up on priority.

Referring to defeat of M Mallikarjuna Kharge and H D Devegowda in the Lok Sabha polls, he said JDS and Congress joined hands with the sole purpose of defeating BJP which is supposed to be Hindu Centric. this obviously led to the polarization of votes in favour of the BJP.

The seer expressed his unhappiness over the victory of those who hailed Nethuram Godse who shot to death father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi should solve the Kashmir issue and he did not want to discuss on article 370 which is a sensitive issue, he added.
