Kochi/UNI:  The Kochi-Dubai flight which offloaded the coronavirus positive UK national has left on Sunday with 269 passengers.

The 19 foreign nationals including the British man and his wife were deplaned earlier along with an Indian passenger who voluntarily agreed to undergo the screening test for coronavirus.

The group stayed at Casino Hotel in Kochi on March six and seven. Later they visited Athirappilly and had breakfast from Athirappilly residency.

They went to Munnar and by the time they reached, the UK national was suffering from fever. The man sought treatment from Tata Hospital, Munnar.

Later he was taken to Kottayam Medical College Hospital and his samples were collected for testing. He was brought back to the resort.

The man was under observation from March 10. The first test revealed that he was negative for coronavirus. However, there was strict instruction that he should leave the place only after the result of the second test.
