New Delhi/IBNS: Delhi, which is one of the worst Covid-19-affected parts of the country, is slowly recovering from grasp of the contagion as the national capital is now placed at the eighth position in terms of active cases.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday tweeted a tally where Delhi is seen having 12,657 active cases, placing itself behind Gujarat in the table.

With over 2,000 Covid patients recovered in the last 24 hours, 1,13,068 people are now Coronavirus-cured in Delhi.

However, the CM has asked people to take precautions as the Covid situation across the nation is still volatile.

Kejriwal tweeted, "Delhi has reached 8th position in terms of no of active cases. Situation was bad till a few days back. We were at 2nd position. However, there is no room for complacency. Take precautions and stay safe."

Delhi in the last 24 hours reported 1,142 cases taking the overall tally to 1,29,531.
