Gangtok/UNI: The Sikkim government has initiated the process of registration for those wishing to return to State.

The members of State Task Force have implemented a road map for helping out those patients, students and any others waiting to come back.

‘Any one wishing to return has to register himself online. Nodal officer has been appointed for coordinating the facility being extended. Safety is the most essential element so we want to do everything properly.

Once those coming back reach Siliguri (West Bengal) they will have to travel back in Government Transport Buses from Matigaraha,’ said Chief Secretary S C Gupta.

The Chief Secretary added that as per the data made available there are at least 6,424 people from Sikkim presently in other states. ‘We will have patients returning first followed by students and then any other.

On reaching, Rangpo and Melli (entry point to East & South Sikkim) they will have to undergo screening followed by quarantine. It is all based on health safety guidelines issued by the Centre.'
