Covid 19 cases reach 64 in Manipur

Imphal/UNI: Four new Covid-19 cases were reported in Manipur on Sunday, taking the tally to 66 in the state.

Three women, aged 26, 21 and 19 years, were tested last night at the VRDL of JNIMS and found COVID 19 positive.

The 26-year-old woman is a returnee from Delhi and she is from Imphal East district. The other two have come back from Pune and belong to Kangpokpi District.

A 20-year-old male from Sekmai in lmphal West District was also tested last night at the VRDL of RIMS and found COVID 19 positive. He had recently returned from Delhi.

All the cases are stable. They will be shifted to the Covid Care facilities in JNIMS and RIMS. All control and preventive measures like containment and contact tracing were already taken up by the authorities of the respective districts.

Now, the total number of positive cases has increased to 66 and the number of active cases to 59 in Manipur.

Seven patients have been already declared free from the virus.
