Congress president Rahul Gandhi receives petitions from people in Wayanad

Wayanad, Jun 8 (UNI) All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Rahul Gandhi, who is on a three-day tour in his constituency of Wayanad from Friday, on Saturday met people at the MP Facilitation Centre at Collectorate and received petitions from them.

Soon after this, the Congress Chief proceeded to Kambalakad and greeted thousands of supporters of the United Democratic Front (UDF), who gatheted at the bazar to see their MP.

The Congress Chief, accompanied by KPCC President Mullapally Ramachandran, Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala and AICC general secretary K C Venugopal, participated in road show at Pulpally, Panamaram, Mananthavady and Sulthan Bathery.

Gandhi will conclude his roadshow this evening and return to Kalpetta by dusk.

The Congress Chief will take rest at the Government guest house and will stage road shows in Mukkam and Ingapuzha in Kozhikode district on Sunday morning before returning from Karipur by noon.
