Ujjain, MP, May 13 (UNI) Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra – who is on a day’s visit to Madhya Pradesh – paid her respects at this ancient temple town’s world-renowned Mahakaleshwar shrine.

She performed the ‘abhishek’ ritual – lasting approximately half an hour – within the sanctum sanctorum by offering milk, ‘panchamrit’ and ‘gulaal’ to the presiding deity in the presence of Chief Minister Kamal Nath and four-time Rajya Sabha member Suresh Pachouri.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi also offered prayers here during the 2018 Assembly polls.

Vadra is on the campaign trail in Ratlam and Indore. Her roadshow is scheduled in the latter place this evening. This is her first visit to the state in this general election.
