Hyderabad, Feb 22 (IBNS): Ending the long frienship with MIM, the Congress has decided to field candidates against the former in Hyderabad, media reports said.

According to reports, the decision was taken by Congress President Rahul Gandhi.

The relation between the Congress and MIM was strained  after Majlis floor leader in the Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi was jailed and allegedly tortured during N Kiran Kumar Reddy-led Congress regime in unified Andhra Pradeh.

Rahul has reportedly directed Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) to field candidates against MIM and ensure that Congress candidates defeat the Majlis ones.
