CJP school tour turns chaotic in Jaipur: Cars vandalised, stones pelted as Ashutosh Ranka alleges BJP ‘goons’ attack

Jaipur/IBNS: Members of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), who are touring and inspecting government schools across the country, were chased away by a group of men in Jaipur on Friday, media reports said.

En route to a school, the group was reportedly obstructed by several people who clashed with them and eventually forced their car to leave the area.

In some unverified videos, people in the crowd were also seen throwing stones, with one stone shattering the rear glass of a car.

CJP alleges involvement of outsiders

Although the people who obstructed the group's entry claimed to be locals, CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka rejected the claim and alleged that "outsiders" were brought in by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to disrupt the visit.

Ranka, who was among the CJP members leading the group to the school, posted on X: "Requesting the media to not blame the villagers for today’s incident. People were sent from outside to incite violence.

"It was the villagers who had requested us to come and inspect the school. I have been told that the local BJP councillor was seen distributing money to some goons."

Ranka further alleged that police were absent from the spot when the violence began and claimed that the incident was carried out by "BJP goons" at the behest of Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar.

In an ultimatum, he added, "If the accused are not arrested within 48 hours, we will launch a massive protest demanding Madan Dilawar's resignation."

Allegations of assault and vandalism

In a series of allegations, Ranka claimed that the alleged BJP workers pelted stones, vandalised CJP vehicles, assaulted women and damaged phones.

"It's a black day for democracy in Rajasthan," he said.

The allegations have not been independently verified.

CJP’s ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign

The Cockroach Janta Party has launched a nationwide “School Thik Karo” (Fix the School) campaign, shifting its focus from examination-related protests to the condition of government schools across India.

Launched on August 15, the campaign calls on parents and local residents to conduct social audits of schools and highlight gaps in basic infrastructure.

CJP’s school inspections

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has been travelling to government schools as part of the campaign, inspecting facilities and documenting alleged shortcomings.

During a visit to his village school in Hingoli, Maharashtra, the campaign resulted in benches and chairs being provided to students following a three-day standoff and social audit.

The party has said the nationwide school tour aims to highlight infrastructure gaps and push authorities to improve basic facilities in government schools.
