Chhapra-Surat Tapti Ganga Express derails, 4 hurt

New Delhi/Chhapra, Mar 31 (UNI) At least four people were hurt as Chhapra-Surat Tapti Ganga Express derailed at Gautamsthan station, which is just next to Chhapra, on Sunday morning.

Thirteen coaches of train no 19046 derailed at 0945 hrs at Gautamsthan station which is just next to Chhapra, the originating station.

Four passengers have been injured, official sources here said.

About 180 passengers, who were willing to continue their journey, have been accommodated in on track coaches (front portion of the train) and left for Ballia for onward journey.

All the remaining passengers have been sent by buses and other means back to Chhapra, the sources added.
