Centre invites nominations for SC Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar

New Delhi/UNI:The Centre on Friday invited nominations for the Subhas Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar 2022.

The awards are given for excellence in the field of Disaster Management and the online application process is open till Aug 31.

It is announced every year on Jan 23, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose

Many organisations and individuals are working silently but persistently on mitigation and preparedness so that the impact of future disasters can be minimized, said the National Disaster Management Authority of India.

The award carries a cash prize of Rs 51 lakh and a certificate in the case of an institution and Rs 5 lakh and a certificate in the case of an individual.

For the year 2021, the Ministry of Home Affairs selected the Sustainable Environment and Ecological Development Society in the institutional category and Dr Rajendra Kumar Bhandari in the individual category for the SC Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar for their excellent work in Disaster Management.
