BS Yediyurappa names three deputy chief ministers in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Aug 26 (IBNS): Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Monday finally announced the names of the cabinet members.

The Karnataka CM took oath on July 26 and it took him so long to announce his cabinet members.

He announced three deputy chief ministers -- Govind Karjol, Dr Ashwath Narayan and Laxman Savadi.

Karjol has been assigned the PWD and social welfare ministries.

Ashwath Narayan has been assigned with the portfolios of higher education, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science and Technology.

Laxman Savadi has been given the transport portfolio.

The only woman in the cabinet is Jolle Shashikala Annasaheb, who has been given the Women and Child Development portfolio.
