BPF ends alliance with Congress in Assam
Guwahati, June 26 (IBNS): The Bodoland Peoples Front (BPF) on Thursday severed its ties with the ruling Congress in Assam.
The BPF ended its 13-year-old alliance with the Congress accusing it of non-cooperation in development of the Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD).
BPF chief Hagrama Mohilary cited non-co-operation from the Congress side as the reason behind the split.
The BPF is in power in Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), that runs administration in the four Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD).
