BJP appoints Amit Malviya as co-incharge for poll-bound West Bengal
New Delhi/IBNS: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed its IT cell head and spokesperson Amit Malviya as the co-incharge for the poll-bound West Bengal.
Malviya will share the responsibility with Arvind Menon for the state which will head to polls in the first half of 2021.
BJP's Kailash Vijayvargiya will be the in-charge for the state.
Reacting to his appointment, Malviya tweeted, "Bengal is an important state for the BJP. To be appointed co-incharge for this critical state is an honour for me. I am grateful to Shri JP Nadda for this opportunity. Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and guidance of Shri Amit Shah and Shri B L Santosh, I will do my best."

After a comfortable victory in Bihar, the BJP has all eyes on West Bengal where the Trinamool Congress (TMC) is aiming to return to power for the third straight term.
The BJP has gained massive prominence in the state particularly after the 2019 General Elections where the saffron brigade won an unprecedented 18 seats, upsetting the TMC.
Union Home Minister and one of BJP's topmost leaders, Amit Shah, during his recent visit to West Bengal had said his party will win a two-third majority in the assembly elections, unseating Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
The reshuffles have also been brought in various states by the country's ruling party.
