Patna/IBNS: The voters turnout in the third and final phase of Bihar assembly elections was 19.17% till 11 am on Saturday, media reports said.

78 constituencies spread across 19 districts are up for grabs in the final phase of the elections.

In the final phase of the polls, Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), which aims to grant citizenship to Hindu, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Parsi, Jain but not Muslim refugees who came to India from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh before 2015, was one of the major issues.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s firebrand leader, Yogi Adityanath, spoke in favour of the CAA, only to get criticised by his own ally Janata Dal (United).

Bihar Chief Minister and JD (U) chief Nitish Kumar, who is seeking the fourth term in alliance with the BJP, said, "Who does all this malicious campaigning? Who says all this faltu baat (nonsense)? Who will throw out people? No one dares do that.

"Everyone belongs to this country, everyone is Indian."

Kumar is facing a stiff challenge from Rashtriya Janata Dal-Congress-led Grand Alliance's CM candidate Tejashwi Yadav in the polls.

Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), a former BJP ally, has gone solo in the polls.

The poll results will be declared on Nov 10.
