Bhutan, Nepal PM wish Narendra Modi on his party's Lok Sabha polls victory

Kathmandu, May 23 (IBNS): Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Thursday wished Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi after his Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA registered a thumping victory in the Lok Sabha polls.

"I extend warmest congratulations to Prime Minister @narendramodi ji for landslide election victory in the Lok Sabha Elections 2019. I wish all success ahead. I look forward to working closely with you. #PMOIndia," Oli tweeted.

Another neighboring nation Bhutan also extended its greetings to the Indian PM.

Lotay Tshering, Bhutan PM, tweeted: "I, on behalf of the people of Bhutan, offer heartiest congratulations to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi @PMOIndia and his team on the election victory. As we look forward to working closely in years to come, we pray India achieves greater success under your leadership."

With a thumping victory in the Lok Sabha polls, Modi is all set to return to power in the country for a second term as the PM.

In 2014, under his leadership, BJP-led NDA had won against the Congress to come to power at the Centre.
