Assam police’s quirky tweet goes viral on social media

Guwahati, Jun 5 (IBNS): The Assam police has been grabbing headlines for its awareness campaign by sending messages on social media, especially on its twitter handle.

But, this time Assam police has grabbed headlines again for its quirky tweet.

In their latest tweet, Assam police announced a seizure of a large quantity of cannabis/ganja and asked about the owner of the huge consignment.

“Anyone lost a huge (590 kgs) amount of Cannabis/Ganja and a truck in and around Chagolia Checkpoint last night? Don’t panic, we found it. Please get in touch with @Dhubri_Police They will help you out, for sure, Great job Team Dhubri,” Assam police tweeted.

But this tweet got funny turn on social media when the Assam police asked who lost it to get in touch with the police department.

According to the reports, the Dhubri district police had seized 590 kg cannabis/ganja from a truck at Chagolia checkpoint on June 1.

A team posted at Chagolia interstate border checkpoint in Dhubri district had seized the cannabis/ganja worth several lakh rupees from a truck.
