Assam Police arrest drug peddler with brown sugar

Guwahati, Aug 25 (IBNS): The Assam Police arrested a drug peddler along with drugs in the state’s Chirang district on Saturday evening.

Based on some secret information, the Chirang district police launched an operation at Dhaligaon area and arrested a drug peddler named Shah Dil Mohammed Khan.

Police seized 27 grams of brown sugar along with multiple credit debit cards, cheque books of multiple banks and some documents from the drug peddler’s vehicle.

The Chirang district police have registered a case against Shah Dil Mohammed Khan.

“We had received information about a drug peddler and immediately launched operation at Dhaligaon area. We had arrested the drug peddler and seized 27 grams of brown sugar from his vehicle during checking.,” a police officer said.
